I'm moved in!!!

Okie-Dokie!! I'm all moved into my new scraproom!!! Ofcourse, I'm not completely finished decorating and no where near finished organizing, but it's at least presentable!! Thanks for looking! Let me know what ya think!

Scrap-Friendzy "Project-Friendzy" Classes!!

We're starting something new at Scrap-Friendzy!!! Periodically, we will be posting FUN WEEKEND PROJECT CLASSES!!! These will be various projects that you can complete in one weekend or less.... I'm soooo excited about our first class that we will be posting THIS WEEKEND!!
Fellow girlfriendz, Jodi and Kathy will be teaching us how to create a super cute Holiday decor project! It's a 2-sided banner that is perfect to adorn a fireplace or anywhere in your home this Holiday Season. One side has a Fall theme and says "THANKFUL" and when you flip it over, the other side has a Christmas theme and says "I BELIEVE"!!
Be on the look out for more information and a supply list that will be posted in the forum today!!! C'mon over and check it out this weekend!!!

New Scrap-Room!!!

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!! For my birthday, he is remodeling my scrap-room! So far, he's painted the walls, ripped out the carpet, laid wood floor, sanded and painted cabinets.... I know he's exhausted!! I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!!
Anyways, everyone's been asking me to post pics, so I thought I'd share a few:
This is a picture of the chaos that we are living in right now.... everything from my scrap-room is crammed into the hallway and the girls' bedrooms!!


Here's my amazing man hard at work sanding the cabinets that will be going into my room:

And this one is of "Mr Sexy" painting some of my cabinets... doesn't he look hot in that painter's suit??!!LOL

Hopefully my BIL & Daddy can come over this evening and help BW get the cabinets moved in...then, MY hard work begins getting it all organized and set up the way I want it.... I'll post more pics soon!!

Quick Little Fall Project

It's no secret that I LOVE Fall.... I love the colors and the smells and the crisp air... it's by far my favorite season. So yesterday, I decided to create a new Fall decoration for my fireplace cover. It turned out so cute, I think I might just leave it up all year long!!

I took a twine belt that came on a pair of Ally's jeans and went to work!
I cut my kraft cardstock 4 x 6, but tore off about 1/2 of an inch on the bottom... this left me with 1 1/2" to fold over the back of the twine and secure with double sided tape. My intentions were to use the word "THANKFUL" but the belt only had room for 7 letters so I went with "BLESSED"!
I just used scrap pieces of pattern paper and some chocolate colored thread in my sewing machine, some distress ink and buttons! Quick and easy! Here's a close up:

Our Lives....

..... have been pretty chaotic lately! I haven't had a chance to update about personal stuff in awhile... so here's an overview:
The girls are doing great... Beth is sooo busy with Volleyball, school and Dance. When the weekend gets here, we can barely drag her out of bed! I guess it has a lot to do with her age she'll be 13 next month...OMG! My baby will be 13! A teenager... I will be the mother of a teenager..... ok, it's official I'm getting old... I do turn 34 on the 19th!! Yikes!
Ally is as cute as ever.... her teachers say she's pretty quiet at school... well, my guess is she's storing it all up for when she gets home! She jibbers and jabbers from the moment she gets home to the moment she falls asleep!! She is so funny... she keeps us cracked up! She is so sweet and thoughtful... man, I love my girls!
And speaking of love...
Mr. Gaskins aka "sexy" and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary on the 9th... I CANNOT believe we've been married 15 Years!! He's so amazing! I really am the luckiest girl ever! He works so hard and is such a great husband and daddy... I can't {and never want to} imagine my life without him... he's my other half.. he makes me whole and I love and appreciate him more everyday. I love you baby ;)

My Mom is doing good... she lost her hair this week... we knew it was coming... but, it just sucks! Ofcourse, I cried like a baby... and had a panic attack... until my Daddy got my head on straight... yes, I still need my Daddy!!
She looks so beautiful! There are no words to say how I feel about my Mama... she has carried herself through this with such grace and her faith is so strong... I hope my daughters will look at me one day with the love and respect I have when I look at her.... she's amazing! Oh.. and thanks so much for all of your prayers!
Things at SCRAP-FRIENDZY have been going great! We have been having so much fun there! It's not just about scrappy inspiration... these girlz are friendz.. we're there for each other and I can't wait to get on everyday and see what everyone's up too.... we're girlfriendz!! The site is exactly what I hoped it would be! If you haven't checked out the new site... go do it, I promise you will love it!
