May Madness!!

May has been a whirlwind of craziness! We have been so busy with all of the end of the school year activities.... I don't even know where to start!! Guess I'll start at the beginning!!
We kicked off May with a Mini-Relay For Life at the Elementary. Nanny came and Ally got to walk with her on the Survivor's Lap! The girls know all too well the affect fighting cancer can have on a family, and we are so happy that Mama is finished with treatments and doing great!

Speaking of surviving... another big deal this month was Beth going away to camp for the first time! The National Junior Honor Society went to camp for 3 days. Beth had a blast and although I was pretty nuts while she was away, I did survive!! (Here she is climbing the 90 foot rockwall!)
The middle of May was filled with Mother's Day events(you can see the projects I made in the post below) Ortho appts, meetings, field trips and extra dance practices getting ready for our big Dance Recital! The theme this year was "Disney Mania". For the opening number, Beth was Tinkerbell and Ally was Chicken Little. Beth's costume was easy, just ordered it online, but Ally's was a stinker! Took me forever to finish it and on the day of dress rehearsal, Mama had to come to the rescue and help me finish it!!(And as you can see in this pic, she hated it!!lol) It was all worth the hard work, recital was great and the girls did a wonderful job on all of their dances!

The week after recital, Beth's Theater Arts Group preformed "Cindy Ella Goes To The Prom, Baby!" It was a cute modern day version of Cinderella and Beth played Cindy Ella! They did a great job!
More May events included Ally's Field Trip to NASA, Elementary Field Day and finally her 5th Grade "Graduation" Luau.

I can't believe my baby will be going to Jr High next year! They grow up waaaaay to fast! I'm so proud of the girls, they did a wonderful job in school this year. Here they are with some of their awards:

Guess that's it for May! I'm so happy the girls are out of school and things can calm down a bit..... we hear the lake calling our name!!

Mother's Day Projects

I hope all of you Moms had a great Mother's Day weekend! I had a wonderful, relaxing day with the people I love! It was so exciting to celebrate Mother's Day with my Mama after the madness she has survived in the last 10 months! Thank God all of it is behind us and we are so happy to have her healthy again!
I can finally share the Mother's Day projects that I made for my Mama & grandmothers this year! I used the 12x12 wood squares by Kaiser all of these:

You can see close-ups of each in my Scrap-Friendzy Gallery or 2Peas Gallery!!
